Marketing Manager

Position description
As Marketing Manager this person will work with Senior Management to define and execute a marketing strategy for GlobalSoft, helping to achieve strong revenue growth.  Execution includes working with internal team members, partners, and suppliers to define messages, develop materials, and other marketing activities as needed.

This role reports to the US-based COO, and must be a self-starter able to work remotely

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

The position requires a person with strong written and oral communication skills, and marketing experience working with a software vendor or service provider.  Ideally this person will have experience working with a software vendor in a product marketing role, with some exposure to marketing communication activities. 

Key responsibility areas for this role are:

  •  Development of written materials, such as product data sheets and brochures, press releases, and customer success stories.
  • Ownership of marketing message
  • Development maintenance of web page content and web-based materials

The person must have flexible work hours to allow for interaction with US-based management team. 

Secondary Duties/Respobsibilities

  • Co-ordination with product management and engineering teams on product development.
  • Visual design and creative skills that allow for the development of graphical elements used for marketing purposes
  • Able to manage the work of external parties and agencies that deliver marketing services, including the preparation of a “brief” for their efforts

Requirements & Qualifications

§  BS/BA degree – MBA preferred

§  5 to 10 years in marketing roles

§  Preferablly 2 - 3 years in Product Marketing 

Preferred Skills for this role include

Technical:

§  Proficient in MS Office suite of products.  Must be able to demonstrate examples of proficiency.

§  Able to use project management tools in support of marketing projects

Personal Characteristics:

§  Able to work in a dynamic environment; fast paced and frequently changing.

§  Outgoing and able to take on new challenges

§  Highly detail oriented, accurate, and organized

§  Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, SLA oriented work environment

§  Strong oral and written communication skills
