Business Development Manager (Inside Sales)

GlobalSoft is a global software consulting firm focused on delivering services and products for Informatica MDM, and other technologies. With over 8 years in the MDM domain, GlobalSoft has fostered a reputation for high-quality, dependable services and products. In addition to a full portfolio of services, GlobalSoft has specialty products that enhance the capabilities and management of Informatica MDM.

To reach new customers, GlobalSoft is adding an inside sales representative to our team in Bangalore. The person will utilize lists of company names to introduce key decision makers to GlobalSoft and promote the benefits of GlobalSoft services and products.

Position description

The Inside Sales Manager will support sales and marketing efforts. The Manager will generate and qualify leads. You will be critical to our success within marketing, by dealing with the influx of leads we source from our partners, as well as events, shows and webinars, and qualifying these leads to be passed to sales representatives. You will generate new business through cold calling activity. The Inside Sales Manager will be the lead executor for conducting telemarketing campaigns.

When a company is identified as a strong candidate for GlobalSoft services or products, the Manager will research that company and determine who are the key decision makers or influencers for these product and services, and then make contact with them and qualify as a lead. In this role, you will attempt to set up a conference call or meeting between the Lead and a Sales Executive. You will also conduct cold calls to generate and qualify leads and work to set up a conference call or meeting with a sales executive.

  • Conduct targeted sales calls (cold calling) in order to gain key customer information, promote services and achieve appointments for the field sales team.
  • Lead select call campaigns to generate leads or gather information that will enable growth for the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the marketing team as well as with individual Sales Executives to whom the qualified leads will be passed.
  • Project initiatives; research web sites and conduct other marketing activities as required.
  • Build and maintain a database of leads by conducting research on contact information and qualifying leads.
  • Increase knowledge and stay up-to-date with our company’s service offerings and the Master Data Management domain, and other domains that the company may become involved.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
  • Produce daily summaries and weekly reports of inside marketing results.

  • Requirements

    • Proven track record in B2B sales or marketing role (telesales included), with five or more years of experience in an inside sales representative role selling software services.
    • Exceptional communication, analytical, problem solving abilities.
    • Comfortable with prospecting and cold calling.
    • Well organized, can manage multiple customers' needs, prospect for new accounts, stay ahead of industry trends, and develop new markets.
    • Strong customer relationship building skills.
    • Must have a verifiable track record of selling software services to IT departments.
    • Microsoft Excel and other related computer program proficiency.
    • Experience working in Sales in a high-tech environment, IT company preferred.
    • Experience using a SFA tool, such as preferred.
