Software Vendors

Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) come in many sizes and shapes, each with a somewhat unique focus; consumer, mobile, enterprise, etc. or application, infrastructure, security, games, etc..  No matter which way you segment an ISV, they all share some things in common; the need to develop, market, and support their software in a profitable manner.

Enterprise software vendors, those who provide enterprise-class solutions that typically run on servers, have an additional requirement; helping customers deploy their software.  Most ISVs of enterprise software offer Professional Services, comprised of; Consulting Services to help configure, customize, and deploy their software, Training Services to teach you how to customize and deploy, and Support Services to make sure the software continues to function as advertized.

Their Challenge

Providing a Professional Services operation is a significant cost for an ISV.  Carrying a team of highly skilled consultants to aid in deployment and training is expensive, particularly when billable projects are sporadic in timing and vary in requirements.  Responding to sales cycles and the needs of customers requires a flexible approach, one that is able to provide experienced consultants as needed without over burdening the cost structure of the company..

How GlobalSoft assists

GlobalSoft was created to help ISVs scale their professional services team as needed.  GlobalSoft partner with an ISV to be an extension of their PS organization.  GlobalSoft consultants work with an ISV to deploy solutions to their customers, deliver training to developers and users, and develop training courses and materials.

To further assist ISV partners, GlobalSoft provides cost-effective Technical Support and Engineering services from our offshore development center.

Results

GlobalSoft’s ISV partners are able to more quickly respond to variations in demand for highly skilled technical resources without carrying the significant cost of in-house resources.
